Dragon spotted in flight over Tibet!

Why all the analogous references to China as a 'Dragon'?

"The Dragon flies again" - Again?! Really?
"Will the Dragon run out of Puff?" - If there is such a beast, he should know better
"Enter The Dragon" - C'mon, everybody knows this was Bruce Lee's finest hour

Doesn't everyone know that the Dragon is a mythical creature? If not everyone then at least those responsible for such 'Business media' headlines should know that there is no room for reference to fairytale creatures in the very serious world of Economics.

Could it be that the 'Dragon' analogy is becoming more appropriate as the clock ticks. For, a Dragon is a beast with powers unknown fully to man, yet to be witnessed in the flesh, merely rumoured and passed down via whispers through generations of fables. And as China pushes forward in it's development as a 'Monster' market economy is it starting to hint that the 'Dragon' may really exist. Could it truly bare powers and strengths beyond previously widespread comprehension? China could really be a Dragon?

Setting aside the heavy political debate underlying it's initiation, the opening of the Golmud - Lhasa railway, as a physically engineered achievement, is an indicator of China's Dragon like abilities that will undoubtedly become more apparent as time goes by. Conceived around the same time as the redevelopment of Wembley Stadium, London (C'mon guys get your finger out!), the railway is now fully functional taking passengers higher than any previous railroad, to half the crusing altitude of a passenger jet and 1000 ft above the peak of europes infamous Mont Blanc. Crossing 286 bridges, passing through seven tunnels to take passengers to the dizzying heights (literally) of the Tibetan Plateau, and back down, this is a monsterous accomplishment in such a small window of time.

Yes, the Dragon has lift off!
